Case Converter

Convert text to different letter cases.

Changing text case without retyping

Retyping a heading because it came out in the wrong case is a waste of a minute you will spend many times over. This case converter takes any block of text and rewrites it in uppercase, lowercase, title case or sentence case instantly. It is built for headlines, spreadsheet columns pasted in the wrong format, imported names, and CSS or database values that need normalising.

How to use the Case Converter

  1. Paste or type your text into the Input box.
  2. Pick the case you want.
  3. The converted text appears below, ready to copy.
  4. Your text never leaves the browser — nothing is uploaded.

Formula and a worked example

UPPERCASE · lowercase · Title Case · Sentence case

Title case capitalises the first letter of every word; sentence case capitalises only the first letter of each sentence and leaves the rest alone. Publishers differ on whether short words like 'of' and 'the' should stay lowercase in titles — this converter capitalises every word, so trim by hand if your style guide is stricter.

Worked example

The input "the quick brown fox JUMPS over the lazy dog" becomes "THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG" in uppercase, "The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over The Lazy Dog" in title case, and "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" in sentence case.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between title case and sentence case?

Title case capitalises every word — good for headlines. Sentence case capitalises only the first word of each sentence plus proper nouns — good for body text and most modern UI labels.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded, logged or stored.

Can I convert a whole spreadsheet column?

Yes. Copy the column, paste it in, convert, then paste the result back. Line breaks are preserved.

Does it handle accented characters?

Yes. Accented and non-Latin letters are converted using standard Unicode case rules.
