Static currency converter UI (no live rates).

How this currency converter works

This currency converter uses daily reference exchange rates covering 32 currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, PKR, INR, AED and SAR. Rates are fetched once and cached on our own server, so conversions are instant and the page never stalls waiting on a third party. Every pair is derived from its USD rate, which is how the wider market quotes currencies too.

How to use the Currency Converter

  1. Type the Amount you want to convert.
  2. Pick the currency you are converting From.
  3. Pick the currency you are converting To.
  4. Use Swap currencies to flip the pair without retyping anything.

Formula and a worked example

Converted = Amount × (Rateto ÷ Ratefrom)

Both rates are quoted against the US dollar, so dividing one by the other gives the cross rate for any pair — including pairs that are rarely quoted directly, such as PKR to AED.

Worked example

With the dollar at 276.30 PKR and 95.74 INR, converting 250 USD gives 69,076 PKR or 23,936 INR. Going the other way, 250 INR comes to about 2.61 USD.

Frequently asked questions

How often are the exchange rates updated?

Rates refresh from a daily reference feed and are cached for six hours, so the figures you see are current to within a day. The exact timestamp is shown under the result.

Will I get this rate at my bank?

No. These are mid-market reference rates. Banks, cards and exchange counters add a margin, typically 1–4%, so treat the result as a benchmark rather than a quote.

Why do rates differ between websites?

Different providers sample the market at different moments and some already include a spread. Small differences between sources are normal.

Which currencies are supported?

Thirty-two, spanning the major reserve currencies, the Gulf, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Pick any two from the dropdowns.
