Cookie Policy

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It is commonly used to remember a preference between visits, keep you signed in, or record how a site is used. Similar technologies such as local storage and session storage work the same way from your point of view.

Cookies CalculatorsSpot sets

None. Every calculator on this site runs inside your own browser. Nothing you type is sent to us, so there is no session to keep and no account to remember. We set no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking cookies of our own. You can browse the whole site without accepting anything.

Third parties

Two outside services are involved in loading a page, and it is fair to say what they see:

  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces used across the site. Requesting a font sends your IP address and browser details to Google. Google states that it does not set cookies for font requests.
  • Exchange rate data is fetched by our own server, not by your browser, for the currency converter. The rate provider never sees you.

Our web server also keeps standard access logs — IP address, time, page requested and browser string — which every web server keeps in order to run and secure the site. These are logs, not cookies, and they are not used to build a profile of you.

If this changes

Should we add analytics or advertising in future, this page will be updated before those cookies are set, and a consent banner will be shown where the law requires one. The date at the top of this page always reflects the last change.

Controlling cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings or privacy section. Because this site sets none, blocking them will not affect any calculator on CalculatorsSpot.
